200 years of ABGB - from codification to recodification of the Czech civil law (2. - 3. 6. 2011)

The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministr of Justice, JUDr. Jiří Pospíšil, and the President of the Supreme Court of Austria, Hon.Prof.Dr. Irmgard Griss.

     The international scientific conference 200 years of ABGB - from codification to recodification of the Czech civil law represents the most important event which is held in 2011 in the field of scientific life at the Faculty of Law in Olomouc. It replaces for this year the tradicional conference "The Days of Law of Olomouc"

     At the conference there will be number one Czech and foreign specialists speaking  about the influence of Austrian ABGB on legal regulations of the civil law in their countries – not only from the historical point of view but the attention will be also given  to the recodification of the Czech civil law.
The conception of ABGB and the containing thoughts find reflections also in the new bill of the Czech Civil Code. I believe that the June symposium of experts in Olomouc will bring a very lively and productive debate and a lot of new points of view at some apparently clear topics.
